The White House called out “Reacher” star Alan Ritchson one day after he accused President Trump of being a rapist on a podcast.
Ritchson made the comments during an appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast. He was there promoting his new film Motor City, which had a poor showing at the box office. During the interview, he raised claims from the Epstein files, accusing Trump of being a rapist with an interest in underage girls. The accusation he cited stems from an allegation in those files. There is no evidence to support it.
White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson responded swiftly and directly. “Just as President Trump has said, he’s been totally exonerated on anything relating to Epstein,” she said.

As originally reported, Jackson went further, framing Trump as a champion for Epstein’s victims. She pointed to several actions taken by the administration, including releasing thousands of pages of documents, cooperating with a House Oversight Committee subpoena, signing the Epstein Files Transparency Act, and pushing for additional investigations into what she described as Epstein’s Democratic associates.
Jackson then shifted her fire toward Democratic lawmakers. Meanwhile, Democrats like Hakeem Jeffries and Stacey Plaskett have yet to explain why they were soliciting money and meetings from Epstein after he was a convicted sex offender,” she said.
Ritchson, for his part, also told the podcast that he believes people see him as a “loose cannon,” and said he thinks that perception is why some are “scared” of him. That detail was noted by Entertainment Weekly.
The back-and-forth puts the action star and the White House in direct public conflict, driven by claims that, whatever their origin in the Epstein files, remain unsubstantiated.
