President Donald Trump announced Friday that he plans to direct between $400 million and $500 million from his MAGA Inc. super PAC toward November’s midterm elections. He made the disclosure in the Oval Office while speaking directly with reporters.
Trump said the total funds available in the super PAC are close to $1 billion. He described his spending plan in plain terms, saying he would target candidates he personally believes in and believes can win.

“I think I have like a close to a billion dollars in the super PAC and I’m allocating probably four or five hundred million dollars,” Trump said. “We’re going to spend a lot of money because we don’t want to lose our country.”
According to a report, Trump also laid out the criteria he would use when deciding which Republicans receive support. He said the money would go to people he views as strong candidates, specifically those who are competitive or within striking distance of winning.
“People that I think are good, Republicans that I think are good, people that I think are going to win and can win or are close to winning,” Trump said.
The announcement signals a major financial commitment from the former and current president heading into a midterm cycle that will determine control of Congress. A sum of $400 million to $500 million would represent one of the largest single super PAC deployments in modern American political history.
Trump offered no specific breakdown of which races or states would receive the funds, but his comments made clear the money would flow to Republican candidates he personally endorses as viable and aligned with his political priorities. His MAGA Inc. PAC has been one of the most well-funded political operations in the country, and this announced allocation would consume the majority of its reported reserves.
