The president posted directly on his Truth Social platform to criticize Fox News Channel following its decision to cut ties with the longtime anchor. Trump warned that Bartiromo’s fans would not be happy about the network’s move. Fox News Media made the announcement in late August, and it came without any advance warning. According to a report, the network issued a blunt statement confirming the split: “Effective today, Maria Bartiromo is no longer with FOX News Media.” The statement offered little additional detail, adding only that the network thanked Bartiromo for her 12 and a half years of service and wished her well in whatever comes next.

Trump’s post stopped short of spelling out any specific consequences for the network, but the message was hard to miss. A sitting president publicly calling out a major cable news outlet over the dismissal of one of its hosts is not a routine occurrence. The tone was pointed, and the implication was clear to anyone familiar with how Trump communicates publicly.
Bartiromo had been a prominent and consistent presence across both Fox News and Fox Business Network throughout her tenure. She hosted programs that frequently featured major political and financial newsmakers, and her interviews with Trump himself were a regular fixture during and after his first term in office.
Fox News gave no explanation for the timing of the departure or the circumstances behind it. The network’s statement was notably brief, offering no insight into whether the split was mutual or whether it followed any internal dispute.
For now, Bartiromo has not publicly announced her next move. Trump’s post, however, made clear that at least one very prominent viewer noticed her absence and was not pleased about it.
