Sean Hannity Explains Health Scare After Fans Notice Changes on Air

Sean Hannity is reassuring viewers after concerns about his health spread across social media.

The Fox News host addressed the speculation Wednesday, saying his raspy voice and puffier appearance were caused by medication he was taking after suffering a pinched nerve in his neck while training.

Hannity said his doctor prescribed prednisone to reduce inflammation. While the medication has helped his recovery, he said it also caused temporary laryngitis and facial swelling—both known side effects of the drug.

“I’m fine, recovering well, and still training,” Hannity wrote on X while thanking fans for checking on him. He also joked that the medication had generated more discussion online than his decades on television.

The 64-year-old said he had already discussed the issue on his radio show before posting the update online.

Despite the recent rumors, Hannity has continued hosting his nightly Fox News program throughout his recovery.
