Gavin Newsom says Kamala Harris could end his 2028 presidential ambitions before they begin.
The California governor made that point bluntly in a CNN interview released Monday, stating he would not enter the 2028 presidential race if the former vice president decides to run. No campaign announcements have come from either Democrat, but Newsom drew a firm line around his own plans anyway.
“I wouldn’t run if she ran,” Newsom told CNN directly.
