Trump raised over $15 million ahead of 'disgrace' verdict

In the days following his unprecedented indictment by a Manhattan prosecutor, Donald Trump’s campaign has reported raising $15.4 million from small-dollar donors. Nearly 98% of the donations came from individuals who contributed less than $200, and 24% of the donors were first-time contributors to Trump’s campaign. The average donation during this period was less than $50. This surge in donations comes after a lackluster start to Trump’s fundraising efforts. In the first quarter, he raised a total of $18.8 million, which included a $4 million donation the day after his indictment. This was less than the $20.4 million he raised in the fourth quarter of 2022, which included $9.5 million after announcing his third run for the White House on November 15, reported Bloomberg.
