Dems Win Virginia Redistricting Measure, But It’s Not Over Yet
Okay, for right now, the Democrats have won. Their strategic gerrymandering plan passed by a narrow margin on Tuesday night, reshaping Virginia’s congressional districts into a ridiculous jigsaw puzzle that resembles the notorious maps of Illinois. These districts appear to lack any logical boundaries, serving primarily to manipulate election outcomes and disenfranchise millions of voters.
As CNN conservative Scott Jennings observed Tuesday evening after the votes were tallied, Virginia’s 6-5 Democrat-to-Republican congressional delegation was among the fairest in the nation, and given that Kamala Harris only won the state by 5 points, I’d have to agree.
