Democrat District Attorney Kim Foxx has found a new way to protect criminals in Chicago. There’s a new policy drafted that suggests prosecutors will, somewhat, ignore any gun, drug, or stolen property cases that are discovered during a traffic stop or any other non-public safety stop that doesn’t pose an immediate threat. For example, if someone is pulled over for expired registration, busted taillight, or an expired license plate – those are non-threatening stops. And if cops just happen to find an illegal machine gun in the backseat, then I guess those charges would be glossed over according to the new proposal.

Kim Foxx is being accused of using the color of people’s skin to keep them out of jail. Kobi Guillory, Co-Chair of the Chicago Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression, said in a statement: “If you exist as a black person in this country or a brown person in this country, you to some extent, fear that interaction with police… Because it could result in them taking your life.”

So even if someone has something that would land them in jail, would that be ignored if it was just a broken headlight or something? This is where people have a problem with it and are speaking out in big numbers, especially since Chicago is such a high crime area. It’s like the political people are soft on crime and the cops don’t have the resources to really lay down the law. That combination has plagued urban Democrat cities across the nation for years.

People in Chicago’s local city council and the state government are pushing back big time according to WGNTV:

The proposal is receiving swift pushback from some in City Council and the state government. Illinois Comptroller Susana Mendoza tweeted, “This Kim Foxx policy will help keep illegal guns in the hands of criminal offenders, rather than getting them off the streets. Future victims deserve better. Looking forward to a new States Attorney who’ll follow & enforce the law.”
