White House spokesman Davis Ingle rejected former CNN anchor Jim Acosta’s comments questioning President Donald Trump’s mental and physical fitness.
Acosta raised the criticism after Trump’s Fourth of July celebration on the National Mall, saying the president appeared different from his first term.
Ingle told Fox News Digital that Trump is “the sharpest and most accessible president in American history who is working nonstop to solve problems and deliver on his promises.”
Ingle contrasted Trump’s energy with the previous administration, accusing Democrats and legacy media of covering up what he called Joe Biden’s mental and physical decline.
Acosta had compared Trump’s Washington, D.C., projects to the “end days of Saddam Hussein” and said, “I don’t remember him falling asleep in the Cabinet meetings and in the Oval Office as people are standing over his shoulder talking. I mean, that’s totally nuts.”
