Trump-hating Al Green was once accused of sexual assault
A woman who had accused Rep. Al Green (D-Texas) of sexual assault has withdrawn her claims, leading Green to drop a lawsuit in which he alleged she threatened to sue him for workplace discrimination unless he paid her. In a joint statement, lawyers for Green and Lucinda Daniels said both had settled their disputes without any payment or promises, and expressed regret over the circumstances that led to the conflict. They also agreed not to pursue litigation against each other. Green’s attorney moved to dismiss his suit after Daniels signed an agreement releasing all claims. A spokesman for Green acknowledged a “romantic encounter” between the two in May 2007 but denied the assault allegations.
