ICE Incident Sparks Firestorm as Congresswoman Assigns Blame
During a recent CNN appearance, U.S. Rep. Robin Kelly (D-IL) claimed that the ICE agent who shot and killed Renee Nicole Good after she tried to run him over had been at fault in a past incident where he was dragged by a vehicle. However, after footage surfaced showing Good accelerating toward and hitting the agent, the Department of Homeland Security confirmed that the same officer was nearly killed last year in the Twin Cities when he was dragged by a vehicle. The incident occurred during a traffic stop in Bloomington, Minnesota, in June, when an undocumented immigrant allegedly tried to flee, leaving the agent seriously injured.
