In 2024, former school bus aide Kiarra Jones, accused of abusing three nonverbal children with autism, pleaded guilty to 12 out of 13 charges as part of a plea deal. She was arrested for assault after a video surfaced showing her repeatedly striking a white nonverbal autistic boy.
