Sen. Rand Paul Taking Millions From Maduro Regime, Says Government Source.
According to a high-ranking Venezuelan government defector, Senator Rand Paul has been accused of taking millions from Nicolás Maduro’s regime and narcotrafficking networks. The Kentucky Senator was allegedly listed as a key figure on a so-called “Venezuela List” of U.S. politicians receiving multimillion-dollar payments.
The source claims Paul accepted bribes to undermine President Trump’s military and diplomatic efforts against Maduro, including blocking funding while accusing Trump of committing “war crimes” in the Caribbean. Allegedly, seven-figure payments were funneled through intermediaries connected to the Cartel de Los Soles, a Venezuelan military-led drug trafficking group indicted by the DOJ in 2020.
These payments reportedly began years ago and increased as Trump’s second administration launched aggressive operations, including deadly strikes on drug-smuggling vessels. Paul has publicly opposed these actions, such as sponsoring a War Powers Resolution on December 3, and has repeatedly accused Secretary Pete Hegseth of authorizing possible war crimes.
he source described his moves as attempts to protect Maduro-linked trafficking routes that bring drugs into the U.S., with Venezuelan transit paths cited by the DEA as major channels for fentanyl entering via Mexico, amid over 120,000 U.S. overdose deaths in the most recent year.
