KSTP 5 Eyewitness News ran its own investigation into those empty daycares

In January 2025, local Minnesota station KSTP 5 Eyewitness News conducted its own investigation into MN fraud. Despite some efforts to discredit Nick Shirley’s reporting, the outlet uncovered many of the same findings. Their coverage revealed how some daycares operated—or, in some cases, didn’t operate at all.
