Maybe it's hormones, maybe it's not. But what I can see is a bunch of angry chicks fighting and they're supposed to be representing their people. They look like Eagles fans fighting in the nosebleed seats!
A brawl broke out in Mexico City’s Congress during a debate on dissolving the city’s transparency institute, with the scuffle caught live on camera and mainly involving female lawmakers from the ruling Morena party and the opposition National Action Party (PAN).
The tension started over a proposal to scrap the city’s transparency and public information watchdog, prompting opposition members to seize the main podium in protest over what they claimed was a procedural breach by the Morena majority.
Shouting quickly turned physical, with shoving, slapping, and hair-pulling on the chamber floor. The session was briefly halted before the opposition walked out, after which the ruling coalition passed the reforms.
The clash comes just months after another headline-grabbing fight on August 27, 2024, in the national Senate, when Senator Alejandro Moreno (PRI) confronted Senate President Gerardo Fernández Noroña during a heated debate on U.S. military action against drug cartels, with Noroña later accusing Moreno of issuing death threats.
