Van Hollen admits TAXPAYERS paid for El Salvador trip to visit alleged gang member

Shannon Bream: “Who did pay for this trip [to El Salvador to meet with an MS-13 gang member]?”
Sen. Van Hollen: “This was an officially cleared congressional trip…”
Shannon Bream: “So taxpayer dollars?”
Sen. Van Hollen: “Yes.”

Sen. Van Hollen is facing mounting backlash for going to El Salvador to visit an alleged gang member who was deported from the United States. Van Hollen was seen sitting at a table with margaritas and then tried claiming they didn't touch the drinks. Seriously folks, this guy wasted taxpayer money on the trip, then tried saying margaritas was a setup? What kind of person makes this stuff up? I would be like "yeah, we had a drink together, so what?"
