Dayton Public Schools Reject Trump Order to BAN DEI

Dayton Public Schools Board of Education held an emergency meeting and voted 7-0 in favor of REJECTING the Trump administration’s order to remove and ban DEI initiatives and programs from their district. This will end up being a bad idea because they will lose funding this way. WDTN reported:

During an emergency board meeting Wednesday, DPS leaders voted unanimously reject the notice sent out by the Trump administration, which asked every school to comply with getting rid of diversity equity and inclusivity initiatives.

“We value education as a whole, and it has always been the window to whatever life you choose to live for yourself,” said Dr. Chrisondra Goodwine, DPS board president.

But this decision does not come without potential consequences. The DEI ban notice also states that schools and districts risk being sued by the federal government and having their federal funding withheld if they do not comply.
