This took place during a House Foreign Affairs subcommittee hearing and it didn't last long because ranking member Democrat Bill Keating lost his mind and started shouting at Self for not calling the male a woman.
Keating said: “Mr. Chairman, you are out of order... Mr. Chairman, have you no decency? I mean, I’ve come to know you a little bit, but this is not decent.”
Self said they will continue the hearing. But Keating replied: "You will not continue it with me unless you introduce a duly elected representative the right way."
Self ended it right there, then later posted a message on X: "It is the policy of the United States to recognize two sexes, male and female."
