Holy sh*t, this story takes another weird turn. Police now say no evidence of a toddler. WHAT THE ACTUAL F*CK is going on here? From Fox News: "Police in Alabama say that there's no evidence of a toddler walking down the interstate after a woman went missing but returned home days later."
AL.com reported on YouTube wrote on: "Carlee Russell told the dispatcher that she was near mile marker 11 on I-459 when she saw a toddler walking alone on the side of I-459 between the flyover to the Galleria and Highway 150. After calling 911, Russell stopped to check on the child and called a family member to report the same details, Lowe said. The family member lost contact with her, but the line remained open. She has been missing since the incident occurred on Thursday, July 13th at approximately 9:34 p.m."
An update on AL.com reported that she returned home after 48 hours. The report started with this, but said a LOT more:
Carlee Russell, missing just over 48 hours, returned home safe Saturday night.
“As far as we are aware, this is not a tactic that traffickers use,” Sabrina Thulander, a spokesperson for Polaris, the nonprofit that runs the National Human Trafficking Hotline, told Insider, adding that it’s a common myth that traffickers often use force to capture their victims.Thulander also discounted the theory of “luring” kind-hearted women.
