First Gay Chairman of the Metro Police Union Arrested for Crime against Children

The first openly gay chairman of the Metropolitan Police Union in D.C., Lt. Matthew Mahl, has been arrested on charges of child sex solicitation. Court records state he allegedly exchanged sexual messages and requested explicit photos from someone he thought was a 15-year-old boy, then took a day off work to travel to a planned meeting spot where he expected to meet the minor.
