The White House issued a statement on Sunday after a number of left-wing social media influencer — without any evidence — circulated rumors that President Donald Trump was undergoing a medical emergency and had been transferred to the Walter Reed Medical Center.
The speculation began following a routine White House announcement at 11:08 a.m. that a press “lid” had been called. In White House terminology, a lid notifies the press pool that the president has no additional scheduled public appearances or events for the remainder of the day.
