Delta Airlines Ending VIP Service for Lawmakers, And They Have Schumer, Dems To Blame
Delta Air Lines has taken away a convenient VIP perk for members of Congress, and they can thank Chuck Schumer and the Democrats for it. The Atlanta-based airline has suspended its dedicated congressional desk service. As a result, lawmakers will no longer receive special treatment and will have to navigate TSA security lines and the usual travel challenges like the everyday Americans they represent.
“Due to the impact on resources from the longstanding government shutdown, Delta will temporarily suspend specialty services to members of Congress flying Delta,” a statement from the airline reads.
“Next to safety, Delta’s No. 1 priority is taking care of our people and customers, which has become increasingly difficult in the current environment,” the statement continued.
