Donald Trump to appoint Tom Homan as 'border czar'

Tom Homan is a former U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) official who served as the acting director of ICE from January 2017 to June 2018 under President Donald Trump. He has a long career in law enforcement, starting as a police officer in New York and later joining the Border Patrol in 1984.

 

Homan is known for his tough stance on immigration enforcement and was a key figure in implementing the controversial "zero tolerance" policy that led to the separation of migrant families at the U.S.-Mexico border. He has been a vocal advocate for stricter immigration policies and has been appointed as Trump's "border czar" in his second administration.
