CA opposes Juvenile Trafficking bill, citing pricey prison costs

Gavin Newsom is once again the target of criticism as California continues to plummet into being one of the worst states to live, according to online sentiment. Newsom is now being slammed because the California Finance Department is opposing a bill that would make paying for children, or s*x with children, a felony. They are concerned with the "potential costs" that they'd have to deal with if the crime was listed as a felony. So instead of protecting children at any cost, the California Finance Department seems more concerned with the costs of dealing with criminals. No wonder people like Elon Musk, many celebrities, and many others are moving out of California. It doesn't matter how many people are in prison. If it's crowded and unpleasant, then oh well. Stop breaking the law if you don't want to go to jail. Newsweek reported on the bill and pushback:
