'We do not support Taiwan independence': Blinken tries stifling tensions

United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken said America does "not support Taiwan independence" to Xi Jinping as a way to ease some tensions with China. Blinken suggested that worrying about China's economy, or containing it, was not a goal of the American government. This takes place as tensions have hit some of the highest levels and the relationship between the United States and China seems to get worse over time. Forbes reported on Blinken's weak stance against China and suggested the following in a political news article:
