500 pounds of pasta found in NJ woods, mystery may be finally solved

A New Jersey man going for a stroll in the woods discovered what some say might be up to 500lbs of pasta. The Internet mystery solvers went on the prowl to determine where this pasta might have come from and they determined it may have come from a nearby home that was being cleaned out. This took place in the Old Bridge section of New Jersey, just on the banks of the Iresick Brook according to Mayor Owen Henry when he described the piles of noodles and macaroni.

The report on NBC NY suggests the pasta was dry when it was dumped, but then a few inches of rain moistened the noodles before public services came by to scoop it up. The man who discovered it gave an interview and he had something to say in the news article about the 500lbs of pasta:

Keith Rost, 33, recently moved into the neighborhood and was out for a walk and smoke last week when he came upon the piles of pasta.

Word in the neighborhood, Rost said, is that the dry pasta was dumped by a man as he cleaned out the Hillyard Road home of his late parents, who apparently believed in having a fully stocked pantry.

"I was like, 'What was all of this?!'" Rost said Friday. "I just started reading the alphabet (pasta) to spell my name. I didn't know what to think."
