The 'Outnumbered' panel discussed Biden's remarks after the Nashville Christian school shooting and growing calls to investigate the deadly rampage as a hate crime. Kayleigh McEnany was especially upset as she eviscerated President Joe Biden for making ice cream jokes right after a shooting that left six people dead, including three children. Biden's bad timing on his joke shows his inability to deal with a situation in a serious manner. This was a terrible thing that happened and he's resorting to humor, but this is not the time or place for humor. America demands action and a fix to a horrible problem, and no amount of ice cream or ice cream jokes will be the answer.
McEnany didn't hold back and neither did her co-hosts. What did Joe Biden say? USA Today quoted the president:
"My name is Joe Biden. I'm Dr. Jill Biden's husband. I eat Jeni's ice cream – chocolate chip," Biden quipped Monday afternoon before his speech about the "sick" and "heartbreaking" shooting.
The crowd in the East Room of the White House laughed, and Biden doubled down. "I came down because I heard there was chocolate chip ice cream. By the way, I have a whole refrigerator full upstairs," he said to more laughter. "You think I'm kidding? I'm not."
