"They’d had enough...": Tucker Carlson reveals more about Fox News situation

Tucker Carlson sat down with Dave Portnoy from Barstool Sports and at some point they talked about the situation with Fox News. Tucker Carlson sounded thankful for his career with Fox News, but when he talked about being "fired" or the break up, even he sounded confused as to the very specific reason they parted ways. Here's a quote grabbed from the video, transcribed by The American Tribune:

“My view on Fox hasn’t really changed they let me say whatever I want whenever I want it really for 14 years and I never stopped being grateful for that,” he said. “And then obviously I said too much. And I’m not exactly sure what I said that was bad no one ever told me but when they were like, Oh, can’t have this anymore and they fired me.”

“And I even told them as they were firing me like sure business,” he continued.  “I made a pencil that I’ll never work for anyone else again. I never will. But I can’t be mad about it. I mean, they were they were great to me. Were always nice to me and one day for whatever reason they’d had enough so I wasn’t my feelings weren’t hurt. I was not expecting it.”
