Forty-five House Republicans are writing to three secretaries of President Biden’s Cabinet regarding the talks about agencies giving $450,000 to each illegal immigrant who has gone through the splitting practice at the border.

Republicans are pressing Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas, Secretary of Health and Human Services Xavier Becerra, and Attorney General Merrick Garland for answers, as reported.

Blackburn had something to say about it…

The Republicans express their “serious concerns” in the letter about allegations that federal agencies are considering paying $450,000 to immigrants who went through the separation process at the border during Trump’s administration.

In a letter obtained by Fox News, the lawmakers said that the rationale for this outrageous waste of taxpayer dollars is to compensate these people for long-term psychological harm. They emphasize that these immigrants crossed the border in an illegal manner, well aware of the implications of such rule-breaking violations.

Giving thousands of dollars to those who illegally entered the US could be seen as rewarding criminal acts and sending the message to the rest of the world that the borders are open, the letter continues. The lawmakers claimed that the Biden administration has been encouraging illegal immigration since day one, calling the situation the biggest self-inflicted border crisis that has ever happened.

Murphy, accompanied by his colleague, warned about the possibility of migrants from one 150 countries surging the US borders, encouraged by the hundreds of thousands of dollars. They continued by saying that the hefty sum is far more extensive than the average American household income of $68,703 and still bigger than the maximum payout of  $400,000 given as the SGLI life insurance policy for members of the military.

The Republicans characterized the rewarding policy as shocking in the era when the Americans face the historic rate of inflation and exponential rise of the price of consumer goods.

The lawmakers closed the letter by requesting the reconsideration of the horrific decision as soon as possible.
