Live 3-inch worm extracted from 64-year-old woman's brain: video
YOINK! CBS Chicago reported on a woman who had a live worm extracted from her brain during a surgical procedure. The CBS Chicago news video came with the description: "Doctors in Australia are sharing information about a first-ever medical discovery. They pulled a live, wriggling three-inch worm from a woman's brain! A 64-year-old woman was experiencing forgetfulness and worsening depression when doctors found a lump in her brain." <a href="https://apnews.com/article/australia-brain-worm-parasite-python-faa209ec842076e445e813b471270b76" target="_blank">AP News</a> further reported on the worm pulled from a woman's brain, saying in a medical news report: <br />

<p>Surgeon Hari Priya Bandi was performing a biopsy through a hole in the 64-year-old patient’s skull at Canberra Hospital last year when she used forceps to pull out the parasite, which measured 8 centimeters, or 3 inches.</p>
<p>“I just thought: ‘What is that? It doesn’t make any sense. But it’s alive and moving,’” Bandi was quoted Tuesday in The Canberra Times newspaper.</p>
