Gavin Newsom accused of "land grab" after Senate Bill 549

Gavin Newsom is being accused of a land grab. Here's what one voter is saying?<br /> <br /> “A lot of people are talking about Senate Bill 549 and they're calling it Gavin Newsom's Land Grab. I just finished reading the bill and I'm going to tell you what it's about and how you can stop it.<br /> <br /> So first of all, what it is is a special statute which allows it to circumvent Article 16, Section 4 of the California Constitution. What it's designed to do is, is give Los Angeles county the authority to create a new agency, rra, the Resilient Rebuilding Authority. And this allows the county to use property taxes in order to buy up properties within the fire zones. The same applies with the city of LA. They also have the authority. They're doing it under the auspices of helping out fire victims, saying, if you can't afford to rebuild your home, we'll buy it, we'll hold it in this land bank and, and you'll have the first right of refusal when it comes to us selling the property.<br /> <br /> Yet at the same time, the county also reserves the right to develop it and turn it into low income housing. The real motivation for the bill is summarized in this paragraph. 50% of the housing funds are to be used to help homeless persons get off the street. This is clearly just a way for the government to throw more money at the homeless crisis. <br /> But like I said, there is a way to stop it.<br /> <br /> The Public Finance Authority, who's in charge of all of this, has to hold three hearings before they can adopt this new ordinance. If less than 25% of the homeowners and residents protest the ordinance, then they can go ahead and adopt it.<br /> <br /> If between 25 and 50% of the residents protest the ordinance, then it goes to an election and the majority gets the vote. And if more than 50% of people protest the motion, then it's dead in the water and the ordinance will not be adopted.<br /> <br /> So if you're a resident in Pacific Palisades or Altadena and you don't want your new neighbor, or neighbors, plural, in a huge multi family unit being a bunch of homeless people, make sure you get right on this. Show up at the hearings and file a protest”

LAFD whistleblower exposed California Governor Gavin Newsom

Wall Street Apes posted a lot of information talking about this.<br /><br /> <div>- Firefighters say Gavin Newsom is lying the Pacific Palisades fires water situation, they did run out of water. “A firefighter told me that he was on a street in the Pacific Palisades and not only did he run out of water, but they had insufficient hydrants”</div> <div>- The city allegedly did not consult with the fire department before they drained the reservoir</div> <div>- Not only were the hydrants spaced over 1,000 feet apart but the diameter of the hose holes was extremely small, not big enough to draw water needed</div> <div>- In addition to that water reservoir being empty in the Pacific Palisades holding 117 million gallons of water, they tarped it for environmental reasons</div> <div>- Because reservoirs are tarped for “environmental reasons” that means helicopters can’t access the water and suck out water for fire suppression for aerial help</div> <div> </div> <div>- Says firefighters are “calling bullsh*t on climate change”</div> <div>- Says the fires ARE ARSON</div> <div>- “They had a palisades fire in the exact same area three years ago caused by homeless, but no one wants to say it and everyone's afraid”</div> <div>- Says DEI has hindered response giving example of women not being able to lift the required weight when saving someone</div> <div>- “insane environmental regulations that Karen Bass has prioritized” has caused problems</div> <div>- “There was also beyond frustration about this multi-billion dollar water bond that was passed in 2014 by California voters to build reservoirs. It was meant to store and capture water.” Nothing was built. Where did the money go?</div> <div> </div> <div>“The state needs to clear brush, allow controlled burns, increase water storage, and hire based on performance alone. But Gavin's refusal to implement these solutions just further highlights his incompetence and inability to effectively do this job.”</div>
