HS student denied diploma for mentioning Jesus in ‘off-script’ grad speech

You really can't make this stuff up. A high school senior is being denied his diploma after he went 'off script' and praised Jesus in his graduation speech. Sounds like the school must be run by a crazed liberal, but that's just a guess and you know we should never assume things. The Kentucky student, named Micah Price, was giving a commencement speech and told his fellow students and people in attendance that Christians need to stand up. He said, as reported by NY Post:

“Class, before another word leaves my mouth, I must give the honor, the praise and the glory to my lord and savior Jesus Christ,” Price said to a packed Truist Arena at Northern Kentucky University. His oration received resounding applause from the audience before he continued with his holy message.“Who in his very words tells us he is the light, he is the way, the truth and life. Class, anyone in the audience today, I’m here to tell you that if you don’t have any of those things in your life and can’t seem to find the answer, then my lord and savior is your answer.”

But this is where school officials freaked out. Price was giving a speech from the heart, the way it's supposed to be, and the officials who reprimanded him and freaked out should be ashamed of themselves. Most people seeing this story believe that no student should be denied their diploma because a principal or anyone else is upset over a speech that will have no impact on anything beyond the day of graduation.

The school has denied this student his Constitutional Right of Freedom of Speech and has with held something that he earned from him . I hope the school officials are taken to court and personally have to pay the price for this . YES the school is guilty too BUT a insurance company or the taxpayers should not have to carry the weight of this debt , that debt belongs to the elected officials who made and backed the decision to punish a student and infringe on his Constitutional Rights.
