Garth Brooks defends selling Bud Light at Nashville bar
Garth Brooks says his Nashville bar will sell all brands of beer, even Bud Light, and had quite a message for people in the process. WhiskeyRiff reported on what Garth Brooks said in the past when they were talking about the bar, which is not opened yet. Garth Brooks said he wants it to be the "I want the Chick-fil-A of honky tonks. I want a place you go in where you feel good, you feel safe. Everybody’s got good manners. I’m hoping that there’s right when you walk in it’s a ‘Love Everybody’ stated right there. That’s what it’s about, right? So I want a place that’s just safe. That feels good.”
Whiskey Riff quoted Garth Brooks again when it comes to the beer issue and what's going on with Bud Light. Garth Brooks had a Q&A with Billboard's Country Live in Conversation and his words sounded like he was almost targeting his potential customers or his competitors who also have bars in Nashville, but won't sell Bud Light.
Garth Brooks said: “Yes, we’re going to serve every brand of beer. We just are. It’s not our decision to make. If you come into this house, love one another. If you’re an a**hole, there are plenty of other places on lower Broadway... In my existence, one a**hole can turn the whole tide down there. My thing is, let’s create a place that you feel safe in.”
At this point it's not clear whose decision it is to make, so the bar may be owned by several people who vote on decisions like which brands to sell etc.
Will you support Garth Brooks? How do you feel about his message to the people?
