Americans Prepare for Nationwide May Day Protests Organized by Far-Left Groups

Americans are being advised to prepare for a surge of far-left May Day protests scheduled to take place across the nation. Organizers of these events claim that disruptions may occur in various schools and workplaces, as groups mobilize for significant demonstrations. Reports indicate that approximately 600 organizations—connected to an activist network with a combined annual revenue of $2 billion—are planning around 6,000 events nationwide for May Day demonstrations.

Demonstration Objectives and Locations

Activists are encouraging individuals to abstain from work, school, and shopping as part of the “Workers Over Billionaires” campaign. Key cities anticipated to have large gatherings include Chicago, New York City, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., and Minneapolis. Among the leading organizations orchestrating these events are chapters of the Democratic Socialists of America, the People’s Forum, the Party for Socialism and Liberation, the ANSWER Coalition, and Code Pink.

Funding and Organizing Concerns

The activist network has faced scrutiny over possible ties to Neville Roy Singham, a tech entrepreneur based in Shanghai. He is reported to have affiliations with organizations that promote messaging aligned with the Chinese Communist Party. Concerns are also emerging regarding potential collaborations between explicitly pro-communist and pro-socialist factions and traditional Democratic Party affiliates, including nonprofits such as Indivisible and MoveOn.org, as well as labor organizations like the American Federation of Teachers.

Additionally, reports have surfaced indicating that at least 13 state and local Democratic Party chapters, including the California Democratic Party, are involved in supporting May Day activities.

Political Context and Local Responses

Wisconsin has emerged as an early focal point of contention, marked by a school closure that has sparked political debate leading up to the May Day events. The Madison Metropolitan School District made the decision to close in anticipation of the May Day demonstrations. In an announcement on its website, the district acknowledged that Madison Teachers Inc. (MTI) had gathered 70% of staff signatures endorsing participation in “A Day Without Immigrants,” part of a broader national day of action.

Wisconsin Moms for Liberty activist Scarlett Johnson publicly criticized the school closure, expressing her shock during a Fox & Friends appearance. Johnson stated, “Although maybe I shouldn’t be considering the history of the Madison Metropolitan School District.” She claimed that schools are not just fostering indoctrination but are also actively encouraging students to join protests alongside teachers and administrators. “Make no mistake about it: This entire rally, this May Day… this is an anti-capitalist, anti-Trump movement, and they’re using our kids as political pawns,” she emphasized.

Activist Networks and Future Protests

Fox News Digital reporter Asra Nomani highlighted the complex web of groups and labor unions involved in organizing the May Day activities in Washington. She reported seeing posters and promotional materials at a socialist gathering spot in the capital. Nomani noted the presence of liberation centers, around 30 of which exist nationwide, serving as headquarters for the Party for Socialism and Liberation. Despite their naming, these organizations openly identify as communist.

Nomani detailed that the materials discovered included logos of various unions such as the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), the Amalgamated Transit Workers Union, and the AFL-CIO (American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations). Messaging supporting anti-ICE sentiments and promoting May Day events was also evident.

With thousands of events planned and several cities marked for significant demonstrations, local officials and communities are closely monitoring for potential disruptions and any indications that protests might escalate into unrest. Authorities are keenly aware of the possibilities and are preparing accordingly to ensure public safety during this anticipated surge of activism.
