Comedian Jim Gaffigan may not be invited back to the Golden Globes after he torched the audience and indirectly accused them of something fairly horrible. The Golden Globes, and most Hollywood award shows, are pretty much all the same - just rich people patting each other on the back, something most of us could not care less about and that explains the drastic drop in viewership of these fairly boring shows. In fact, I don't know anyone who watches celebrity award shows, do you? Trending Politics reported on Gaffigan's joke:<br /> <blockquote>The comedian, an outside pick to host the 81st annual affair, kicked off his opening monologue with an incredulous reflection on his being apart of the entertainment industry before leaning into some very dark humor. “The Golden Globe. I mean, I can’t even believe I’m in the entertainment industry. It’s so unlikely. I’m from a small town in Indiana. I’m not a pedophile. I don’t know if that’s a new category here, but…” The quip drew a delayed but hearty, if ironic, laugh from the glitterati.</blockquote>
