CA Voters Said, Speed Up Executions; Newsom Said, How About Commutation and a Rehab Center Instead?

California Gov. Gavin Newsom announced Thursday that, despite promises he made to voters when running for the office in 2018, he's commuting the death sentences of every single one of the 548 convicted murderers on California's death row, leaving them sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
