The Slippery Slope Is on Purpose
The socialist Left has long targeted the nuclear family for destruction. They hate it for a variety of reasons: because they have deep-seated mommy or daddy issues, because they're anti-social loons who can't form healthy relationships, because they're miserable and want everyone else to be, too. But the main reason the Left hates the nuclear family is because it's the main obstacle to their socialist goals.
