Ilhan Omar posted a video and the song she chose is very telling. It’s a Somali Muslim rap song but if you translate the lyrics, it says:
“You will suffer and cry — we are the ones who rule this land — We impose taxes on our enemies, we punish them and fill them with resentment, we subjugate and humiliate them” That is straight out of Quran 9:29. The verse that gave us the jizya tax and dhimmi status for non-Muslims. It
