Violent Crime Plunged Domestically As New Stats Paint Hopeful Picture

The National Crime Victimization Survey from the U.S. Census Bureau and the Justice Department’s Bureau of Justice Statistics showed some major declines from 2024, including several of the “biggest single-year declines” from when it started in 1973.
