Whoopi Goldberg confronted a member of the audience during a segment of ‘The View’ and told them not to do that again. Turns out the audience member was allegedly recording the show on their phone. Despite being on television where millions of people have the potential to see the show, Whoopi still told the audience member to put the phone away.
Whoopi was right in a way, because people keep taking their phones out to record every little thing going on and they forget to live in the moment. The audience member must forget they can literally watch the show on television after it’s aired. They can see show clips on social media. There’s literally NO reason for anyone to record a live show while you’re IN the audience. Just watch the show and put your phone away.
Now I don’t like Whoopi Goldberg one bit, but I also don’t like people ruining live moments with their phones out. And as a joke, Whoopi Goldberg just told the one person who was actively watching the show to stop recording it haha! There goes your one fan, Whoopi!
But seriously folks, put your phone away when you’re at a show. Enjoy the moment. Live in it. And watch it later on social media if you really need to. We need to get back to being a fun, organic group of humans who live for and in the moments – in real time. Snap pictures of your time out, but keep the phone in your pocket for the most part – enjoy what you’re doing with the people you’re with. And on another joke, what was a MAN doing at a taping of ‘The View?’ That guy loses his man card, instantly!
