Here’s what you get for overpaying for college at Princeton! The video shows Princeton faculty members joining a hunger strike for ONE DAY – aka fasting – with the students who are protesting for Gaza or Hamas or whatever it is this time. According to a news article on Patch, there was over a dozen faculty members joining the students – but it was only for a “daylong solidarity fast” so it really wasn’t a hunger strike at all. Most people call this fasting, and so did the news story on it. Great job, Patch! One of the faculty members said:
“Our daylong solidarity fast pales in comparison to the efforts of our students who are undertaking this strike to show their solidarity with the Palestinian people of Gaza and the West Bank, who are being subjected to a forced famine and genocidal assault by the State of Israel.”
You know what I say? Go ahead and starve! The biggest problem in all of this is seeing how much Princeton is charging people for a degree. That’s the big problem that no one wants to talk about. All those students being ripped off is not cool. How about a hunger strike for a more affordable education?
I know Princeton is supposed to be fancy, but I was up at their campus years ago when they filmed parts of a Transformers movie. And that’s the sci-fi robots, not dudes wearing women’s clothing. That’s a different trans. Nothing special about Princeton’s campus except for the name. Other than that, it’s just another college like every other one out there. But why are they that much more expensive than others?
I lost interest in the Israel/Gaza thing the day it started. I want them to stop fighting. I want peace over there and here. I want cheaper colleges who don’t insult students by acting like they’re better than other colleges, because they really ain’t. Math 101 at community college is the same as math 101 at a fancy college. In many cases, the fancy colleges out there are using the same books as the community colleges anyway. Duh. Anyway, if everyone could stop fighting with each other, that would be great. The world could use a little more peace 🙂
