Marjorie Taylor Greene reported late night TV host to the police

U.S. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene reported entertainer Jimmy Kimmel to the U.S. Capitol Police late Wednesday after he suggested on T.V. that Will Smith should slap her too. Greene, a Georgia Republican, described the late-night host’s remark as a “threat of violence.”

During Tuesday’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” Kimmel criticized Greene for labeling three Senators, Mitt Romney of Utah, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, and Susan Collins of Maine, “pro-pedophiles” when they announced their support for Supreme Court nominee Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson.

“Wow, Will Smith is nowhere to be found when you really need him, huh?” Kimmel appeared to be referring to Smith’s on-stage slap of comedian Chris Rock at this year’s Oscars. Greene’s remark was in response to a line of inquiry from Republican members of the Senate Judiciary Committee concerning Jackson’s leniency toward s-x offenders, as reported.

Greene tweeted Wednesday, “ABC, this threat of violence against me by @jimmykimmel has been registered with the @CapitolPolice.” On Wednesday night, Kimmel reacted on Twitter, writing: “Officer? I’d like to make a humorous report.”

EDITOR’S NOTE: No matter how many times we hear Will Smith’s name, we still don’t care about Will Smith.
