Earlier this year, Karoline Leavitt had a spirited exchange with CNN host Kasie Hunt that ended with a bit of a TV timeout. The friendly tussle happened during an interview when Leavitt, known for her straight-talking style, brought up some past comments made by CNN’s Jake Tapper about now President Donald Trump.

In a clip that’s been making the rounds on social media, Leavitt cheerfully pointed out, “It takes about five minutes to Google Jake Tapper Donald Trump to see that Jake Tapper has consistently likened President Trump to Adolf Hitler.” Hunt, trying to keep things on track, jumped in with, “Ma’am, I’m going to stop this interview if you continue to attack my colleagues.”

Hunt gave it her best shot to pivot the chat, saying, “I would like to talk about Joe Biden and Donald Trump, who you work for.” But Leavitt, ever the team player, wasn’t quite ready to switch gears. “I am stating facts that your colleagues have stated in the past,” she said with a smile, keeping the conversation lively. As the two talked over each other, Hunt decided it was time to wrap things up, gently ending the interview and basically kicking Karoline Leavitt off CNN.

It was a classic case of two folks with strong personalities trying to get their points across—nothing a little coffee and a chat couldn’t smooth over later! The moment’s been buzzing online, giving everyone a peek at the spirited back-and-forth that keeps D.C. humming.
