Anyone looking to replace Daniel Craig’s ‘James Bond’ character with a diversity hire may find themselves upset in the near future. The rumored replacement for Daniel Craig is just another white guy, moving beyond the “peak wokeness” of ideas that it could be a woman. After all, his name is James, and I don’t know many women named James.
As a perfect example, do you remember the woke all-female Ghostbusters movie and how terrible that was? I don’t think a woman was slated to replace James Bond anyway, but I bet you somewhere in Hollywood, someone was thinking about it. Or maybe some producer was thinking of going on a diversity binge and picking from a pool of non-white folks only. Either way, people who love James Bond just want a great actor to play the role – but it has to be male. James Bond cannot become Jessica Bond – just make a new character and a new movie if they want to go that route. Edris Elba would be perfect for James Bond, but seems like they’re rumored to be leaning towards someone else.
The guy who could take over for Daniel Craig is Aaron Taylor-Johnson, a guy with a history in Marvel movies and the comedy/action flick ‘Kickass’ which was like a total nerd becoming a local hero. The American Tribune pointed out something another media outlet said about the possibility of Taylor-Johnson taking over as James Bond, saying that “Sky News Australia reported on the news of Taylor-Johnson’s selection for the role, which the outlet suggested entailed that we are “past peak woke.” The Sky News host said, “I think we’re now past peak work. Common Sense might be becoming more common. Maybe I’m a dreamer.”
As of right now, at this very moment, there is no contract signed and nothing is official. However, that could change in the near future. The Sun reported that he was offered a contract, but hasn’t responded yet. Other media outlets negate The Sun’s report, saying he has not been offered the job as James Bond just yet. So as of now – we have literally no idea who the next James Bond is. But I know one thing, I hope it’s not a DEI hire!
