“How is this a $20 burrito?” Chipotle gets called out

Looks like Chipotle’s got some explaining to do! A customer ordered a burrito online and it cost him around $20. He was furious and he should be. How can any single burrito cost that much from a chain like Chipotle? Does the burrito have lobster in it or something? Nah, this is a chain, it’s like the McDonald’s of burritos and their food is basic, at best. It’s really not even that good to be honest. I can see why this customer is ticked off! Daily Dot reported on the anti-Chipotle video, saying the following:

In a video with over 293,000 views as of Friday, TikTok user Brandon (@realbrandonfromvegas) tells Chipotle “why people can’t stand you anymore.”

“It’s Cinco de Mayo. I ordered a burrito with extra steak. OK, so it’s supposed to be a big burrito,” he says.

He then holds up a relatively small burrito. “What is this? How is this $20? How is this a double meat? How is it—how is that a $20 burrito?”

“I got more meat in the bowl,” he notes, showing a bowl next to his burrito. “How, Chipotle?”

The label on the meal indicates that Brandon ordered the food online, which internet users have long speculated results in smaller portions.

Chipotle must be struggling or something. They’re cheapasses on nurse’s week too. They used to give nurses a free burrito if the nurse showed their work ID. Now they gotta jump through hoops just to get a buy one get one free deal. What the heck happened to the America we love?
