Before you continue reading, it’s important not to blame the actors for the bad writing of the writers. Jason Mamoa didn’t wake up thinking he wanted to be ‘woke’ one day, but he wasn’t going to turn down a paycheck for a sequel. So just remember, not all actors are the reason some of these movies go woke. It’s the writers or producers etc.
So now… it looks like Hollywood hasn’t learned anything. The first Aquaman movie was a huge hit, but Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, aka Aquaman 2, is off to a terrible start despite a list of big time actors. But it seems like Jason Momoa and Nicole Kidman apparently can’t save this one. For starters, Aquaman 2 suffered one of the lowest opening days for a DC project. Follow that up with the movie being mocked for being “woke” and you’ve basically got the Bud Light of movies – but don’t blame the actors for this, blame the decisions of the people above them, of course.
So how bad was it? Aquaman 2 made only $38.1 million in its 30day domestic opening weekend. That makes it the second-lowest DCEU opening in history, only second to the miserable The Flash movie with Ezra Miller. Aquaman 2 had a budget of $205 million, so for it only to get $38 million during opening weekend is quite a problem because they’re gonna need a money miracle to break even, it seems.
Then there’s the whole Amber Heard thing and she should’ve been kicked off the cast after her court case with Johnny Depp. But hey, if there’s anyone who knows how to sh*t the bed, it’s Amber Heard – and that’s what this movie just did, big time.
To add more problems to lack of people watching Aquaman 2 during opening weekend, you then have fans trolling the movie with bad ratings on Rotten Tomatoes and people complaining about the ending being “woke” – a thing people are getting totally sick and tired of, especially when the woke culture causes stink rot in entertainment or sports.
The majority of people just don’t care for it, about it, and never want to see it in their entertainment – and rightfully so. The woke concept just ruins everything it touches and people are thinking “oh God, just shut the f*ck up” in their heads every time they see this stuff.
