This puts our national security at risk. It was spokesman Alexei Woltornist who stated, &#8220;The Department generally does not comment on the specifics of OIG referrals, but we flatly deny that there is any truth to the merits of Mr. Murphy\u2019s claim. DHS looks forward to the results of any resulting investigation and we expect it will conclude that no retaliatory action was taken against Mr. Murphy.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Schiff says there will be an investigation into misconduct by DHS and White House officials and &#8220;the reprisal against Murphy for making protected disclosures,&#8221; per a report on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/schiff-whistleblower-complaint-russian-intel-reports\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fox News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Schiff also stated that &#8220;the whistleblower retaliation complaint filed by former Acting Under Secretary for Intelligence and Analysis Brian Murphy outlines grave and disturbing allegations that senior White House and Department of Homeland Security officials improperly sought to politicize, manipulate, and censor intelligence in order to benefit President Trump politically. This puts our nation and its security at grave risk.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Numerous Republicans and supporters of President Trump have spoken out against claims by Adam Schiff.<\/p>\n<p>Back on May 12, the Wall Street Journal editorial board <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/all-the-adam-schiff-transcripts-11589326164\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">posted an article<\/a> suggesting that Adam Schiff should not be trusted.
