They posted a statement on X saying: “Beginning Tuesday night, Sinclair will be preempting Jimmy Kimmel<\/a> Live! across our ABC affiliate stations and replacing it with news programming. Discussions with ABC are ongoing as we evaluate the show\u2019s potential return.”<\/p>\n Nexstar won’t air the Jimmy Kimmel Live! show either. Nexstar released a statement<\/a> saying: “\u201cWe made a decision last week to preempt\u00a0Jimmy Kimmel Live!<\/em>\u00a0following what ABC referred to as Mr. Kimmel\u2019s \u2018ill-timed and insensitive\u2019 comments at a critical time in our national discourse. We stand by that decision pending assurance that all parties are committed to fostering an environment of respectful, constructive dialogue in the markets we serve.
