The suit was filed by the Judicial Watch in response to the agency&#8217;s failure to comply with a Freedom of Information Act request submitted in August. In contrary, the FBI believes they have enough to prosecute Hunter Biden for various crimes, so there&#8217;s a bit of a murky area when it comes to Judicial Watch, the FBI, and Hunter Biden and the alleged crimes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WATCH the video:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"FBI believes it has evidence to charge Hunter Biden with tax, gun-related crimes\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/chR6tYKG00U?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The suit also argues that the watchdog group has a legal right to view those documents and that the agency violated the FOIA request.<\/p>\n<p>This request, notably, also mirrors one sent by Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), who penned a letter in July asking Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Christopher Wray regarding the same information. Grassley is the ranking GOP member of the Senate Judiciary Committee.<\/p>\n<p>The demands by the FOIA request from Judicial Watch include: &#8220;All unclassified records including emails, email chains, email attachments, notes (digital and\/ or hand-written), briefings, data, documents, letters, evidence, assessments, in the possession of FBI&#8221; and &#8220;Supervisory Intelligence Analyst Brian Auten concerning an August 6, 2020, briefing provided to members of the U.S. Senate, specifically, Senator\u2019s Johnson and Grassley.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Biden revealed in 2020 that he was under federal investigation for his taxes, not so long after the 2020 election. At the time, Biden expressed confidence that a &#8220;professional and objective review of these matters will demonstrate that I handled my affairs legally and appropriately, including with the benefit of professional tax advisors.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While initially, the focus of the FBI investigations was on his overseas business dealings and consultant work in Ukraine and China, eventually the inquiry changed focus to &#8220;whether he did not report all of his income, and whether he lied on gun purchase paperwork in 2018, according to the people familiar with the situation,&#8221; as per a report on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/justice\/watchdog-sues-over-possible-fbi-obstruction-in-hunter-biden-probe\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Washington Examiner.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The FBI was accused by Tom Fitton, the President of Judicial Watch, of trying to protect Biden.
