The shooter, an 18-year-old, was also shot dead by a border agent who rushed into the school.<br \/>\nGoldberg was talking about how she&#8217;s tired of hearing politicians give &#8220;thoughts and prayers&#8221; and she specifically mentioned Republicans during her response to the shooting tragedy.<br \/>\nShe used a video clip of Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) calling for gun control within hours of the shooting \u2014 and he ended his emotional speech with a question, saying &#8220;what are we doing?&#8221;<br \/>\nWhoopi said: &#8220;So that\u2019s the question. What are we doing? Because we\u2019re \u2013 why are we always at square one with this? And I swear to God, if I see another Republican senator talk about their heart being broken, I\u2019m going to punch somebody.\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cI can\u2019t take any \u2014 thoughts and prayers. If your thoughts and prayers really were with everybody, you would have done something by now,\u201d Goldberg insisted, adding, \u201cWhat the hell is going on?<br \/>\n<a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/trendingviews.com\/?s=Joy+Behar\"   title=\"Joy Behar\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"214\">Joy Behar<\/a> chimed in asking for people to stop gaslighting her and commented on mental illness.<br \/>\nJoy said: &#8220;I want them to stop gaslighting me also&#8230; Stop saying it\u2019s not guns that kill people. It\u2019s people that kill people. It\u2019s guns that kill people, okay? Stop saying the opposite&#8230; There\u2019s mental illness in every country in the world, and they don\u2019t have this problem. So stop gaslighting me on that one, and stop saying that you can have a good guy stop a bad guy with a gun&#8230; We have seen in both of these shootings in the past three weeks that a good guy tried and could not do it.\u201d<br \/>\nBill Melugin of Fox News reported on Twitter: &#8220;<span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">NEW: B<\/span><span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">order Patrol sources tell me an elite BORTAC Border Patrol agent is believed to have shot and killed the gunman at Robb Elementary School today. I\u2019m told he entered with a tactical team while TX LEOs were engaged w\/ barricaded shooter.
